Doing Good with Maven

By “Doing Good” we mean Charity. Let’s face it- almost everybody would like to give more of their time or money to help others, but most of us are already stretched pretty thin. How does one give time without sacrificing days or weeks on end- days that could be spent with family and friends? How does one give money without putting a big dent in their own savings?

Enter Maven.

As you probably know by now, Maven allows you to profit by sharing your knowledge via short microconsulting interactions and by introducing other qualified people to Maven. Many of our Members have asked us if it is possible to contribute some or all of their Maven earnings to a charitable organization. Maybe they just don’t need the extra cash, or maybe they see an opportunity to do good without sacrificing large amounts of time or additional regular income. Either way, Maven provides exactly this option to its Members. As a Maven Member, you can designate a portion (25%, 50%, or 75%) or even all of your Maven earnings to be paid to a registered 503(c) charitable organization of your choice. Rather than issuing the payment to you, Maven will route your earnings directly to the charity you choose in your name.

Think about it- you share your knowledge over the phone for half an hour, and a cause you care about gets a nice check. It has cost you nothing but a little bit of time, but results in real money going to help others.
