The Maven Bill of Rights

As a Member of Maven’s Global Knowledge Marketplace, you have the right to:

• Set your own consulting rate and change it any time;
• Have your identity and other personally-identifiable information protected and only disclosed to those you designate;
• Block certain users- or certain types of users- from viewing your profile;
• Decide which types of interactions are right for you and which aren’t- and to adjust these preferences at any time;
• Opt out of any interaction at any time for any reason, no questions asked;
• Know the identity of the person(s) with whom you will be speaking on Telephone Consultations before the call takes place;
• Terminate a Telephone Consultation at any time; you are never obligated to continue with a Consultation if you feel uncomfortable in any way;
• Have your contributions held in the strictest confidence by both Maven and any Clients with whom you interact;
• Receive compensation for referring other professionals to Maven;
• Select a method of payment that works for you- or leave any earnings in the Maven system to use as a credit for Maven services.

With rights come responsibilities. As a Member of Maven’s Global Knowledge Marketplace you must:

• Represent yourself, your professional background, your knowledge, and your capabilities accurately at all times;
• Decline to participate in any interaction that would pose a conflict (or potential conflict) of interest;
• Adhere to your external obligations, including your obligation to your employer;
• Protect confidential information;
• Refrain from disclosing material non-public information about publicly-traded securities;
• Respect our Clients’ privacy and confidentiality, and keep their identities and the contents of any interactions with them strictly confidential.
