Four Pearls and Beckstrand – Fighting Pediatric Cancer

Last week Anthony D’Alessandro told us about his work with Fostering Change for Children. His experience reflects the passion we have at Maven for the causes that mean the most to us.

1,596,670 Americans are expected to receive a cancer diagnosis this year, and like many of you, I have had family and friends directly affected by this disease. My experiences with loved ones battling the disease led me to discover Four Pearls of The Beckstrand Cancer Foundation, an organization is dedicated exclusively to improving and enhancing the quality of life of children, teens, and families struggling with cancer. Founded by three amazing young women, the organization was created that continues to lead the charge to change the lives of young pediatric cancer patients.

Watching my best friend lose his sister at a young age to breast cancer led me to become involved in support of the effort to cure pediatric cancer. As a member of Four Pearls, I have committed to helping patients and their families by donating time, raising funds and simply improving the overall lives of its victims and their families. The dedication of Four Pearls’ Board of Directors and its contributing members has enabled the organization to make a tremendous impact on those young individuals and their families suffering from cancer.
