Happy Launchiversary!

It’s hard to believe, but five years ago today Maven was born. When we hit the “Go” button on May 8, 2009, we dreamed of building a global network of brilliant people who would connect, consult, and profit from what – and who! – they knew.

Five years later, Maven is the world’s largest and fastest-growing marketplace for on-demand professional expertise. We work with some of the world’s largest companies to make their employees smarter, unlock the untapped knowledge within their organizations, and solve business challenges of all sizes. It has been a long, arduous road, with no shortage of doubters and haters (I’m looking at you, Sand Hill road), but we’ve survived to introduce microconsulting to the world.

For me, the best part is that the story is only just beginning. Every day I’m surrounded by incredible people and never get tired of seeing all of the interesting topics our customers explore and problems our Mavens help them to solve.

So to all of our investors, supporters, advisors, employees, customers, and (most of all) Mavens, THANK YOU for making our first five years wonderful! I look forward to the next five years of innovation in knowledge discovery and logistics.
