Upload your resume or an exported copy of your online professional profile.

The Maven system thrives on data; you might even say we’re addicted to it. The more information we have about your professional background and expertise, the better we’ll be able to match you to potential consulting opportunities. It’s as easy as that: more data = more opportunities.

Our studies have shown that Mavens who complete the “Experience” section of their profiles, either by uploading a resume or an exported LinkedIn profile or by completing the information there manually, show up more frequently in searches, get more invitations to consult, and earn more fees from Maven. That said, your resume is probably the most comprehensive accounting of your professional background available. It contains a lot of data about you, data that Maven’s system can use to triangulate your areas of knowledge and expertise.

Uploading a resume is quick and very easy. To do this:

1. Login to Maven
2. Click the Member Profile tab.
3. Click “Edit” in the upper-right corner of the Experience section.

That’s it! The Maven system will analyze the data, build out your Experience section, and automatically search for new opportunities for you to consult.
