Case Study: Unified Power (JAM)
The Problem
As companies grow, knowledge can sometimes get lost in the mix. A huge question for large corporations then becomes, “how do we harness our internal knowledge?” A major industrial conglomerate was experiencing this type of knowledge scattering and needed a way to bring together the
brightest minds from their various offices around the world to brainstorm the acceleration of a game-changing industry trend. The team heading up this effort wanted to include colleagues everywhere from ground-level engineering through executive management to form a holistic approach.
Although the company housed some of the best minds in their industry, their main problem was trying to find the most appropriate way to bring those minds together, so they turned to Maven.

The Solution
The team discussed their hopes with their Maven Account Manager who helped develop a large-scale virtual collaboration project. This collaboration, dubbed a “Jam,” was hosted on the Virtual ThinkTank platform over the course of two days and provided a forum for several hundred colleagues from around the world to discuss and brainstorm how to accelerate their company’s technologies ahead of the industry’s hottest new trend and keep their brand at the forefront of the industrial market. At the end of the two day Jam, the initiative sponsors not only had actionable points to take forward, but had identified dozens of new internal leaders to promote the acceleration of this broader initiative within their business areas across the company.
“We needed a way for a large number of our people to collaborate in a dynamic way – something that had never been possible before. Maven made it not only possible, but easy, to bring people together and extract game-changing insights.”
