The ventures organization of a large industrial conglomerate was supporting a portfolio company that develops enhanced medical imaging software for various types of radiology scans. The portfolio company wanted to ensure that they had a solid grasp on the workload and necessary expertise involved with conducting radiology scans in order to make relevant software more efficient, but didn’t have immediate access to users that could share that information.

The Solution
Maven constructed an Electronic Survey geared toward radiology professionals who had on-the-ground experience working with specific types of scans. Within two weeks, over 50 qualified respondents provided their insights on current workflows and how software could be improved to increase process efficiency. The portfolio company received such valuable insights from this initial group of professionals that they and their ventures partners decided to increase the sample size of the Survey to solidify the business case for software improvements and new technology.
