The Problem
A strategy team at an aerospace engineering organization, wanted to better understand potential opportunities in other industries for commercializing technology they had developed. They were interested in gaining insights from professionals within automotive, mobile technology, agriculture, oil & gas and utility sectors. Whilst they had some contacts within these industries, they were looking for objective insights from multiple perspectives, both within the U.S and Western Europe.

The Solution
Maven launched an Electronic Survey and within 10 days had answers from 20 qualified individuals that the group had no means to reach on their own. The answers provided by the survey, identified several areas that warranted further investigation. Maven then set up telephone consultations with 4 of the survey respondents, to provide additional information on the potential opportunities they had highlighted. Armed with these insights, the team refocused their efforts to include opportunities in areas they hadn’t previously considered.
