Packaging at Distribution Centers and Supermarkets
Description:
I would like to learn more about secondary packaging used for food and beverage consumer products. Ideally I would like to speak with professionals who can discuss insights about the tensions and benefits of stores or warehouses receiving pallets with no case and/or with altered secondary packaging (e.g. tray versus a case).
Please note, an ideal respondent would be able to talk about some or all of the following types of secondary packaging:
Cartons that are in a tray;
Cartons that are in a reduced case (example, the sides are exposed);
Cartons that are lightly glued together to stabilize on the pallet;
Cartons that are shrink wrapped in bundles; and/or
Pallets with a different method to stretch wrap the pallet to stabilize cartons (primary package)
